『DEAR BOYS ACT4 22』follows the journey of the prestigious Shonan Daishōmō High School basketball team from Kanagawa Prefecture. After losing to their rival, Mizuhō High School, in the Kanagawa Prefectural Preliminary Round, the team, led by new captain Funeaki, faces new challenges with the injury of their PG, Yanagimoto. A new lineup featuring青山 and 柏木 is formed, and the team advances to the national tournament. In the Okinawa Prefectural Preliminary Round, they defeat Kadena Nishi High School and face a tough battle against Meiwakō Daihita High School.
