In the second volume of ‘Shokaku ni Naru Warera,’ young dairy farmer Kazuki Ichi no Miyako, from Iwate, sets off to Tokyo with the goal of becoming a novelist, following an invitation from his childhood friend, editor Yūga Amane. Struggling with the differences between his Iwate-written ‘Ohanashi’ and the required submission for a new writer’s award, Kazuki meets various characters, including a cross-dressing actress, Yuki Gojō, and an injured writer, Marimi Fujinoki. Through these encounters and conversations with Yūga, Kazuki refines his work.
