「ゆりでなる?えすぽわーる 5」は、高校卒業とともに政略結婚が決まってしまった主人公・心の物語。結婚という運命は彼女にとって「死」に等しいものだが、死後の癒しのために彼女はスケッチブックに百合の妄想を書き留めていく。心の「死んだような瞳」に魅了される後輩や、彼女の婚約者を愛する先生など、個性的な登場人物たちが集まる中、心を心配する雨海が彼女の幸せを願って行動を起こす。しかし、花籠との結婚という現実が迫る一方で、心たちの高校生活は穏やかに過ぎていく。この作品は、前編では道行く二人の女性を百合カップルとして妄想し、後編ではその二人の本当の関係を明らかにする2部構成。百合のフィルターを通して、社会の不公平と向き合う「女」の物語でもある。

『ゆりでなる?えすぽわーる 5』follows the story of a protagonist named Kokoro, who is forced into an arranged marriage after graduating from high school. For her, this marriage feels like death, but she finds solace by imagining and sketching various yuri scenarios in her notebook. Around her are unique characters, such as a classmate captivated by her ‘lifeless eyes’ and a teacher who loves her fiancé. Rainhai, who cares for Kokoro, tries to help her, but the reality of her marriage to Hanakago looms closer. While their high school life continues peacefully, the story is divided into two parts: the first imagines two women as a yuri couple, and the second reveals their true relationship. Through the lens of yuri, this work explores the struggles of women against societal injustices.
