内容紹介

「イクサガミ 5」は、日本中に広がる謎の新聞によって、武技に優れた者たちが集まるという物語。警察官二千年分の俸給がもらえるという誘惑に、金を求める人々が集結。その中で、嵯峨愁二郎が登場。彼は、ゲーム「こどく」に巻き込まれ、命がけの戦いが始まる。強敵たちが次々と現れ、愁二郎は唯一の少女・双葉と東京を目指すが、道中は危険が待ち受けている。アイヌの青年・カムイコチャや、幕末最強の人斬り・貫地谷無骨など、圧倒的な力を持つ敵たちと戦いながら、愁二郎たちは京八流奥義を学び、化け物・岡部幻刀斎を倒すための決意を固める。しかし、「こどく」の裏には明治政府の大物が潜んでいるという真実が明らかにされ、新たな危機が迫る。

In ‘Ikusagami 5’, a mysterious newspaper spreads across Japan, inviting those skilled in martial arts to gather at Kyoto’s Tōryū-ji Temple with the promise of a reward equivalent to 2000 years of police salary. Drawn by the lure of wealth, people with combat skills gather, and the game ‘Kodoku’ begins. Sōjirō Sagara is thrust into this deadly competition, where he teams up with the only female participant, Futaba, to head toward Tokyo. Along the way, they face formidable enemies like Kamui Kojira, the Ainu warrior, and Kanshita Mugoku, the strongest swordsman of the Meiji era. As they learn the secrets of the Kodoku game and uncover a hidden truth involving powerful figures from the Meiji government, Sōjirō and Futaba must fight for survival.
