『カワイイは金なり 2』は、株式会社ラブリルの底辺デザイナー・一ノ瀬いちかと敏腕営業マン・叢雲百矢がタッグを組み、『ラブリル☆スター誕生キャラクター選挙』で1位を目指す物語。ふたりは、大衆の心を掴む「売れる」新キャラを創造しようと奮闘するが、叢雲は1位になったらラブリルを辞めるという宣言をし、いちかは内心複雑な思いを抱える。そんな中、いちかが描いたデザインを先輩デザイナー・黒姫に見てもらうも、「マニアックすぎて売れない」と一刀両断されてしまう。売れるキャラと、自分の想いの狭間で揺れる2人の成長が描かれる。

『KaWaIi wa KiN na Ri 2』follows the story of Ichika, a bottom-tier designer at LoveRill Inc., and Hyūga, a sharp-tongued sales executive, who team up to win the LoveRill Star Character Election. Their goal is to create a character that can capture the hearts of the public and sell well. However, Hyūga has vowed to quit LoveRill if they win first place, leaving Ichika conflicted. When Ichika shows her design to her senior designer, Kurohime, she is bluntly told it’s too niche to sell. The story explores the struggles and growth of the two characters as they navigate between creating a marketable character and staying true to their own desires.
