「ウリッコ 1」は、新宿の歌舞伎町にあるネットカフェで暮らすキズミの物語。彼女は自分を売って生きる日々を送り、夢や希望を失ったまま惰性で生きている。しかし、仲間から「漫画家が良い暮らしをしている」という話を聞き、彼女は日々出会う男たちの会話やネットカフェにある大量の漫画をヒントに、漫画を描き始めることに。令和の「まんが道」が、欲望と希望が交錯する新宿の片隅で幕を開ける。この作品は、現実と夢の狭間で生きる若者たちのリアルな姿を描き出し、読者に強い共感をもたらす。

『UriKKo 1』tells the story of Kizumi, who lives in a net café in Kabukicho, selling herself to survive, living without dreams or hope. After hearing from a friend that manga artists live comfortably, she starts drawing manga using conversations with men and the abundance of manga in the net café. The story of a new generation’s struggle and dreams unfolds in the chaotic corner of Shinjuku.
