The story begins with Yūgōn, a powerful oni general, and Kōmaru, his half-brother with both human and oni blood. Kōmaru, weaker and shorter-lived than pure oni, wishes to be consumed by his beloved brother Yūgōn, forever occupying him from within. When a poisoned candy is served to Kōmaru at a gathering of oni clans, tensions rise. Yūgōn, furious over the harm done to his beloved brother, faces a volatile situation with the clan leaders. Yet, Kōmaru quietly controls the situation and makes an unexpected proposal. This dark fantasy explores love, desire, and the bond between brothers. ‘I Devour Your Heart, Crimson (Part 1)’ includes chapters 1-5 and a special drawing ‘A Night Devoted to a Lifetime.’
