After losing his former brilliance, young prodigy Nishiki Yūki meets a girl named Kaya Kuroki at a bar, and her sharp and free style of shogi changes everything. In the second half of the three-tier league, a fierce battle for two promotion spots begins. Yūki, Aoi, and Kuroki, who has just entered the three-tier league, each face their own challenges.
